My younger son loves to help me and his mom in the kitchen. We find that a lot of times we'll prop him up on one of the dining chairs but have to constantly keep an eye on him. With this step tower, it helps us so much and alleviates the anxiety of him falling. When this arrived, it was pretty heavy. It did not have a lot of pieces which was good. But the instruction sheet was confusing. I had to look at it several ways and a few times before I understood where all the pieces go. It took me about 30 minutes to put it together. The material is very nice. It has a shiny coated layer to it. This tower was the best thing for my kid. He loved it. He got up on it easily. The red padding is a skid proof layer easing the potential to fall. I like that there are handles on the side for the kid to grab onto. The tower is very sturdy. You can definitely stand on it as an adult and it won't fall apart or bend or break. This piece of furniture is a bit pricey but for the durable wood, I'd say it's worth it. My kid enjoys it a lot.
