I cannot sing the praises of these enough. For my first baby I exclusively pumped and did not use silverettes. My nipples were red, cracked, and incredibly sore. I would shudder every time I put clothes on or the water from the shower touched them. This time around I am breastfeeding my second baby and using silverettes 100% of the time I’m not nursing. They have legitimately saved my nipples. They aren’t sore, cracked or red at all. They are a breeze to clean and can be cleaned by just rinsing under warm water. The design keeps nipples protected from chafing or bumping into clothing, while also healing them through the silver. I was worried about them being indiscreet, but when used under a padded bra, or a bra with nursing pads, you really can’t even notice them there. I opted for the XL size, and I don’t even feel like I have exceptionally large breasts, but I was glad I did so, they are the right size for sure. Overall, I think this is a must have for anyone nursing / pumping. It should be a registry staple, and if your friends don’t have it on their list, I suggest getting it for them anyway.
