Our freeze dried rose petals for pathways are all-natural and completely biodegradable. We take the best roses available and remove their petals one by one. They are placed in a freeze dryer for two weeks to remove their moisture so they last for months. These are REAL rose petals, not artificial, so you can use them outdoors. These Pathway Petals are the imperfect petals that do not make it into our Premium Petals. They typically contain the outer guard petals which have some green in them, along with other imperfect petals due to tears, cracks, or ridges from the freeze drying process. IMPORTANT: For the best qualtiy, we recommend ordering within one month of when you plan to use the petals. While the rose petals are preserved, they will slowly change color over time when exposed to light and humitidy. They are best stored in a dark, dry location, such as a closet.

We purchased this 60 cup quantity of freeze dried petals in ivory and blush for my daughter’s wedding. I paid for expedited shipping so that we could prep petal toss envelopes a week before the wedding. Items were shipped by fedex and arrived within 2 days, in beautiful condition. I’d never seen freeze dried petals, but this was the perfect option for us. They look exactly like fresh ones do, only more brittle when dried, so they are delicate. No refrigeration needed, and no cleanup outdoors since they are natural and biodegradable. This quantity was the exact perfect amount for 4 flower girls (about 4 cups each), and 100 guest envelopes. This option was very competitive with cost of fresh ones, with the convenience of being able to prep and purchase early so that we weren’t stuffing envelopes the day of the event. Once prepped, they went in a box in a climate controlled room until needed. I highly recommend this company and their product!
