I never had a bath seat for my other kids. Let me just say that having this Baby Bath Seat makes bathing so much easier for my baby girl. I do not have to try to hold her up with one hand while I bathe her with the other hand. This baby bath seat is sturdy, and where she sits is cushioned. There are even tiny drainage holes where she sits so that space doesn’t fill up with water. The front locks in easily and stays secure. It is really important that it latches in place, and to make sure baby’s skin is not in the way when you latch it in place. My baby girl enjoys playing with the little toys on the front as she bathes. This is one of those things that she only sees at bath time so she is not bored with it. There is also a little toy rinse cup that she can fill and pour out.There are four strong suction cups that prevent the seat from moving around. I did use this the first time at my mother’s house, and she has a non-slip material on her bathtub so the suction did not seem as strong as when I used it in my tub with no non-slip surface. With my tub being free of any non-slip material, the four suction cups really grab hold. The literature states that this seat supports a baby up to 35 lbs so my baby will be able to use it for a considerable amount of time. I am very pleased with the premium quality of this bath seat. It would make a perfect baby’s shower gift.
