like most bars have done in the past, we used to serve our bombs out of glass. that meant filling a shot glass and a rocks glass, and letting the customer slam them about. for every bomb created, there were two dirty glasses to wash, and a mess on the bartop from sloppy shot-takers negotiating the shot glass shot into the rocks glass. eventually, the hard plastic cups came along, with the built-in shot chamber. these were preferable to the glass for a time, but the bartenders got to hating them with a passion. they are very awkward to clean in the standard 3-well sink with a glass brush. they also hold water after washing them, and that leads to water stains and trapped water inside stacked cups. that's obviously no good.so my wife decided we should look into disposable bomb cups to replace the hard plastic ones we've suffered with for far too long. lo and behold, there's a giant assortment of them available! we decided to go with a small pack for a trial run, and we chose these bomb cups. i have to say, i'm quite happy, and so are my bartenders! these cups, while not as tough as the hard plastic ones we've become accustomed to, are sturdy enough to handle a single use with no issues. there's no cleaning involved, which means my bartenders aren't messing with them inside the sink when they could be serving other customers. plus, the customer is never being handed a marred up, water-stained plastic cup! they always get a new cup for their next shot.we made the move to disposable plastic shot cups several years ago, but we still keep the old glass ones handy for special needs. i would imagine we'll do the same with bomb cups now as well. these disposables are going to become a regular-use item behind my bar.Perfect cups for jagerbombsThey are very sturdy. I’ve washed and reused some of them over 5 times, still holding up strong!Did the job.The perfect shot cupActually I didn't purchase these for drinks. I was searching through the plastic cups for something to use for a child's birthday party of 50 people. Half were children. I was asked to bring veggies and dip for the crowd. I wanted individual servings because the venue really didn't have enough room for all those people to be standing around the dip bowl and I wasn't thrilled about the idea of all the children "double dipping" :) These cups really worked perfectly! The children had seats at tables and they each had their own. They loved it and so did the parents! The cups are sturdy. The colorful veggies added a party atmosphere to the tables.Maybe I just don't drink much but I used these to make jagerbombs. It feels like a LOT of liquid (there was no way it all got in my mouth at once and I had to gulp it down in a few tries), I filled the center and the outer up each halfway and it was a lot better (like a shot)They are fun when you have guests or at a party. They also make measuring easy. We get a lot of compliments on our neon jager bomb cups. There are other drinks you can use them with too!
