Installed on new MTB for use w xx1 crank. Drive side Angular Contact bearing is better on 24/22mm gxp style cranks, as it reduces the Axial load on the non drive side bearing that is prone to failure in the SRAM design in non thread press fit cups. Precise alignment of bearings = smoother longer lasting bearings. Replacement bearings are available from Wheels for a fairly low cost, bulk of cost is the machined aluminum housing.
